| Startup hopes to give SMBs a leg up in China's B2B market |

A trio of partners have launched an Internet marketing startup aimed at connecting small and midsize businesses to one of the largest potential markets in the world -- China.

| Fitchburg State College business professor James Noonan and Hudson-based marketing consultant Helen Lee Murphy have teamed with California-based engineer Ben Lee to roll out AmeriChinaB2B Inc. in Palo Alto, Calif. The portal (www.amerchinab2b.com) recently went live to connect businesses in the United States with potential clients in China. |

Murphy, a native of China and now a U.S. citizen, fills the role of vice president of operations. Noonan serves as executive VP of marketing. Lee, a former engineer at Norwood's Analog Devices Inc. is the company's president and CTO, and Murphy's brother.
According to Murphy, U.S. companies can register free on the U.S. site and take advantage of the information posted there for such purposes as sales-lead generation. To be listed on the China-based parts of the site, companies pay a membership fee that includes conversion and translation services and puts users in more direct contact with Chinese businesses.
In addition, the company will act as a fee-based consultancy to handle special business needs of members, Murphy said.
